Exploring Our Legacy of Love & Warmth
A single conversation for the need to provide children in underserved communities with a new coat is what birthed Love & Warmth.
In 2017, Our Executive Director and Founder Ayesha Derche’ was having a conversation with clients in her salon, they shared with her the sadness they felt as educators of school aged children, coming to school without a warm coat. Ayesha immediately went into action. From that day forth from October – November Ayesha asked her clients to donate a brand new children’s coat. From that one conversation a movement was created- Over the past four years LOVE & WARMTH has provided over 300 families with coats and winter accessories.

- Donated over 500 coats for families in the DC-Metro Area
- Partnered with local businesses to support our mission
